Fee rate is a network choice
Bitcoin fees are paid to include a transaction in a block. Wallets normally estimate a fee rate from recent demand; the estimate can change while you are preparing a transaction. A higher fee can improve inclusion priority, but it never guarantees a particular confirmation time.
Broadcast is not confirmation
After signing, a transaction may be broadcast and appear in a mempool before any block includes it. A confirmation means a block contains the transaction. For a large or sensitive payment, wait for the recipient’s agreed confirmation threshold and check the transaction ID in an independent explorer.
Before you press send
- Confirm asset, network, destination and amount from a trusted copy.
- Review the total including the network fee and any service fee.
- Save the transaction ID and support evidence; never share a seed phrase to speed up a “recovery”.
