Urgency is a signal
Messages that threaten account closure, promise a recovery or demand a “verification payment” create pressure so you skip checks. Official services publish support domains and do not ask for a seed phrase, private key or one-time code.
Inspect the destination
Open the service from a saved official bookmark rather than a message link. Check the domain spelling, certificate context and wallet connection request. A familiar logo or copied announcement is not proof of identity.

- Revoke suspicious token permissions from a trusted tool and move funds only after understanding the exposure.
